Moonrise Kingdom is the story of a young boy and girl (Sam and Suzy) unhappy with their home life in the 1960s. They meet, fall in love and hatch a plan to run away together, which mobilises the small New England town to search for them, including the towns Scout troupe, led by Edward Norton, and the local policeman, Bruce Willis. Many of Hollywoods big hitters turn up - Tilda Swinton, Harvey Keitel, Bill Murray - but the stars are the kids. The 2 lead actors are superb and Wes Anderson gets some great performances from the other kids in the Scout troupe. All in all this was a great film, heart warming and very very nice. (4)
